I'm Ash, from Blacktown, NSW. I just bought a 1100 mini off matt (user: mattsmadmini). Its a bit run down, so im looking to fix it up, firstly get it road worthy and registerd. After, i will then look to putting a turbo on it and go from there. Very excited, my first project car.
Thanks

I've been around for a bit but I guess I should introduce myself officially in this thread! I have already done so a few months ago in a different section of the forum, but a bit has changed since then!

My name is Ben, I live in the Gold Coast (5 mins from Lockie infact). I currently have two minis;
a 1962 Morris 850 which I'm restoring

and a recent 1976 Clubman purchase.

and I used to own a van a number of years ago:

I'll hopefully be on a few runs around the area soon, once the clubbie gets its RWC. :)

Just joined, restoring a 1976 SS clubman. Looking for many parts and a 1275cc - I know me and everyone else. Look forward to learning more by using this website.

:? Sorry repeated myself - must be getting old

Welcome guy's , feel free to ask any questions about things you are unsure of , lot of info and a lot of fun to be found here .

You both will find people will help you more if you put your region in your profile , it's a bit hard for peiople to offer engines or help if they don't know where you are .

Hi Guys, after 27 years I have finally bought another mini, and wow you cannot get the smile off my face. I live on the Gold Coast and for now it will be my daily drive. Keep an eye out for me on the M1 somewhere between Robina and Sanctuary Cove.

Hi bigtimmyp, nope.
Every morning I come on to Robina parkway from Scottsdale Drive(where Mercedes is) and turn left towards the highway. Then head north to Sanctuary Cove.

I ve been hanging round here for a few weeks but only just signed up and thought i would say g'day. I am living in wallsend in newcastle and have always loved cars and tinkering with engine and I have always loved minis but never owned one (i'm 26) until TODAY :)

I just drove to sydney to pick up a 1973 clubman S in fairly rough condition with rust in all the seams etc but it is all complete and i like a challenge - oh and the price was right.

Anyway already this website has been a wealth of information and I can see that once I get stuck into the project I will get so much more - always good when your not flying blind and someone else has been there done that.

Cheers
James

H i all,

I been floating around here for weeks, and finally signed myself up! I'm a chick who bought my mini YEARS AND YEARS (like nearly 12!) ago now, and am finally getting the chance ( and $$$$ :D ) to to do something with her!

I've been trying to suss all the info i can on here about what exact year/model i have, and now i'm even more confused!, so get ready for all the questions :) !

See ya's 'round!
