This maybe simple yet stupid, but i was wondering if someone can tell me how to remove the windscreen wipers, i have tried but i dont want to break anything. Any help would be great.

Do you mean the wiper arms? You need to get a flat blade screw driver and pop them off the splines, not a hard job, but can be fiddly.

Hi Ash,
you will see the spring inside tends to tilt the bottom bit on the splines.
grab the bottom bit with fingers then push the top bit in at the hinge point, pull upwards and it'll all slide off.
