Not a bad show Collectors.

I like seeing all the queer little tasmanians with their queer little collections of plastic coke bottletops and tree bark.

I will check it out soon, a cruise would be great.
They have just sealed the road from Oberon to Taralga and it is a great drive. You could go over the mountains and out to Oberon, go to Taralga, down to Goulburn and back to Sydney. It is a nice road for Minis with lots and lots of sweeping bends and only one big hill.
If you were adventurous you could go back via Wombeyan Caves and Mittagong but the road is very twisty, dirt and bad (or good if you like that sort of thing!)

They usually replay the show during the day sometime the following week.

Does anyone know which day and what time? I would love to catch it.

So, is this BMC museum something that The Mini Experience should know about? A feature perhaps?

Cheers,
Watto.

These are the direct links to the BMC museum segment. Choice of wmv or mp4 and only around 10MB

http://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/tv/collecto ... Museum.wmv (10.3MB)

http://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/tv/collecto ... Museum.mp4 (10.8MB)

The story is more about setting up a private museum that the BMC collection.

Rick Hopkins is trying to set up some sort of private Austin/BMC/Leyland Museum.
I know he has Austin 1800s, Morris 1100, A40, Austin Metro (bought from the Gaydon Museum) Moke and various other cars. I have been doing a bit of work in Taralga recently and I will drop in and find out what he has.

I will report back.

I happened to bump into Rick today (didn't hurt). Quite a character.

I mentioned organising a cruise to his museum and he was open to the idea. Will need to ring him in a couple of weeks time to organise something as he is very busy at the moment.

I got his details off him. I will pass them on to Morris 1100 and let him do the hard work.
