As a matter of interest, did a cop S have the standard fan, or a 4 blade?

They wanted to go fast so I bet they had the stock fans.

My e-type was marginal in the cooling department - they all were. So I put a thermal fan - but it had to pretty much remain on all the time..anyhow the point of all this..the cooler it ran the worse it ran, which I thought was overheating. Ultimately it turned out to be underheating and the electric fan was just mkaing it worse.

The trick is to have enough but not too much

My experiences are exactly the same with the Mini's -- seems the A-series likes to run hotter, my van runs best at around 90*C and I've just put an 88*C thermostat in the K for the same reason.

I probably wouldn't do it in a warmer climate, but in Melbourne..
