so what does that mean!

i can not get a reverse light?.

so why wont it work with the switch in?

haha, there you go, i knew it had to be that. 8) Means you can drive without the switch, jk. get a new one would be my suggestion. most likely if thats the mini i saw about getting flooded?? the switch prob is bugged.

What you mean you can't get a new switch??

so you can get reverse now? but have the switch out completely?
screw the switch in a tiny bit and check if you get reverse lights and can get reverse still and repeat until both are working as required

I'm tired. the switch never got flooded. alot of parts were in a box at home. :)
so all gears work fine now select great.

the switch is new, maybe i've screwed it in to far? maybe a few turns would work?

that would explain why im getting my reverse light come on in 4th gear instead of reverse

:? I'm confused..................has the gearbox ever had reverse?
If you dont lift up the stick when you try for reverse does it still do the same thing?

If it is selecting all forward gears and there is nothing obstructing the selector shaft (as mentioned in other posts) I would be seriously considering that the reverse gear has been fitted incorrectly, is not there or the selector hasn't or cant engage the the selector fork.

yep more then likely what the problem is, i havent played with the reverse switch in mine as its not connected, but from memory you can adjust how far in it can go, so have it set to the minimum it needs to activate the reverse lights

yea i don't have mine connected either, i have big spot lights on the back on mine, you can't see jack with little reverse lights, just screw the switch in a little, keep trying reverse, then screw more, until you have gone to far and can't get into reverse, then go bak, till you can get into reverse with the lights , n then thats it, problem solved :D
