Just looking at my rubber cones that came out of the subframes I am currently working on- One is dished with nut for compressor while the other looks like it is the same however has like 3 large washers over the top ( See photos)
Does anyone know if something has jammed in there ( the two from the front are like this),if they come like this or someone has done this for some reason?

Also, how can I tell if they are past it without putting them in first?

Thanks once again
Brian

Possibly an attempt to raise the height of the car?

Someone with more experience then me should be able to tell you, but to me that looks like something you dont want to do. I imagine the trumpet would not seat correctly against the cone.

I wouldn't want that one in my car...

To see if the cones are ok,
Was the car sitting on the bump
stops before you took them out,if so chuck them.
If you can't remember, take the old one with you and compare the height
to a new one in the shop.
They normally compress about an inch with age

Thanks,
I don't think they'll be too hard to get out, looked at bit dodgy to me also. Will check the height of the cones.
