as far as im aware the 226's are the only ones that are still being made that will fit the mini.

lol - there are plenty of 10" tyres still being made - half a dozen brands/tyres have been mentioned in the posts above

and yes, they're still being made and readily available. My local tyrepower gets them overnight for me when I need them, last time was November last year

A couple of the hotlinked photos are the cause of the virus warning. I guess that is what happens when people steal photos from others.
I just with that someone would fix it.

I put Bridgestone SF-226's on NAV when I first got him on the road, they wore really well and lasted very well given my enthusiastic driving. I estimate they went past 30,000km on NAV but were starting to get a bit average in the wet and low on tread (still legal) and I was transfering to QLD rego so I stuck some Yokohama A008's on it (any excuse 8) ) so I would have no worries passing rego.

The SF-226's handle well for the "cheap" tyre that they are. For an everyday road car that may see the occasional spirited driving they are a very good tyre.
I can't comment on the Falkens or any other tyre other than what the good Dr and others have already said.

Why can't one of the mods just delete the offending pics then. We all know what they look like....

For that price I'd be asking to have the wheels balanced on the car or get him to check the wheel alignment for you. $10ea wheel to fit is a bit rich considering it'll take 20 mins to strip then fit and balance 4 tyres which equals $120/hr for his time.

And he is only paying Bridgestone $44 a tyre. 8)

The environmentals get put on top as well. They used to dump tyres, now they recycle them. That might take up a few dollars.

Everytime i've bought tyres from the same place that was fitting them the fitting was included in the price of the tyre. I understand that there is a disposal/enviromental fee per tyre but that price is still expensive. I'd be shopping around still. I paid $70 per tyre fitted and balanced and that was all i paid for my sf-226's, admittedly a while ago. but not that long ago
