Ray's Ski Shop in Myrtleford says they have chains for 10" tyres. I'd love to take mine up the Hotham road to get a shot like the one in the Ausmini banner... :wink:

yes i did. Yes she came back rustier and no i didn't use chains.. i figured i grew up on a farm, driving minis, what would i need chains for?

Does anyone know if VicRoads or the NSW RTA use salt on the Alpine roads?

I read somewhere a while back that the local councils (in NSW alps) just use fine gravel, never salt.

I rented a set a couple of years ago in Kancoban (spelling wrong)... on the western side of the hwy leading up to Thredbo. Dropped them off at the other end ... Jindabyne (spelling correct 8) )

And yep.. gotta love minis in the snow!
