Cushway,

Are you still here, thought you died!

No, wait, that's just the way you smell! :D :D :) :( :? (thought you might have grown a bit mellower in your old age)

Yes, still going..........(at least I haven't given up!)

You've been going for about three years haven't you tricky?

The only thing I've done for three years constantly is my uni degree, and I've been tempted to pack that in many a time

Good on you though, more dedication than I'd have.

Yes mate, it will be a three year anniversary on September the 25th!

Some dudes on here do it in three months let alone three years.

Still, I will get it finished, but hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for the suupport too.

Looking forward to it Lachlan.

I think a group of the 'tourists' are going to get together for a few beers during the day (Simon, Dicko etc) so make sure you join us.

Cheers,
Tricky

I was just looking back through your posts and I noticed your tubing bender, is that a JD squared bender? It looks exactly like the one I used for bending up my cage, it works really nice. I am impressed with the bends it produces. Next best thing to mandrel bends.

They are great aren't they Nigel - they make very sweet bends, near mandrel quality.

Guys,

Just thought I would post this a a bit of a distraction.

Picked this up a little while ago - its a 6-speed close ratio gearbox for the Starlet. I also picked up a Kaaz helical LSD for this gearbox (not shown).

This is a good contrast to my standard 5-speed which has a TRD viscous LSD.

Cheers,

Hhmmm, six speed you say. Is that from a Glanza or something? I thought the six speeds were only in the 20v corollas (the boxes are the same aren't they?) but that looks like it has starlet shafts and mounts.

Sounds like a good buy anyway.

It is possible to fit corolla gearboxs to starlet engines though. So it could be a corolla box. Do you know what it's off Tricky?

Aaaah, got you guessing havent I!! :?

Its a standard starlet case, with Corolla AE101 gearsets from a Jap spec Corolla. The gearset is a TRD close-ratio set for the Corolla apparently.

The Kaaz helical diff came from Japan as well, its brand new but I dont think they are available anymore.
