Tyre yes, but the tread must be covered (i.e. sidewall outside is just OK)

Hmmm... Cherry's tyres stick out a tiny insy bit. 12x5 superlites and standard flares & standard stepped drums.

Yes, but if you put your chrome strip back on then the arches might be that little bit wider.
:D

Dunno about you guys, but here in SA we are only allowed to go 1" over the factory listed track of the vehicle.

Track is measured from centre of left hand wheel to centre of right hand wheel.

I'm sure someone will be able to elaborate on this.

what's legal, generally doesn't matter in my experience.... the constabulary will find something to defect for if they want.

if it's not some tyre hanging out, it'll be your sports steering wheel, or frayed seat belts, or exhaust too low to the ground. they don't care, they'll find something!

just my experience, having said that, i have had absolutely no trouble since selling my high powered rotary vehicles and going back to classic uk metal :D

My tyres stick out a tiny bit, if i get pulled up for it the plan is not to say anything, just bolt my steelies on and get it checked over then put my minilights back on.
Even when i got pulled over he didnt look at the car, just said slow down, dont smash a classic up.
