OK where can I buy some new Koni shocks for Barney, cheap, ie. without selling my firstborn?
Or what else decent is about (I won't buy Spax)

He's got stocko shocks on, painted yellow- pretty but don't damp real well!

I've had Spax on a Fiat 124 Sport, cost me heaps and were hopeless. Couldn't adjust them both the same. :x

So, I fitted Konis- did 200,000 miles. Took them off. Sold car. Bought another 124 Sport, got the Konis rebuilt by the distributors for $50 each and stuck 'em on. Did another 100,000 miles, sold it and got into a Mini again.
Great shocks....

What I've read recently about Spax on MM site, not much has changed.
If yours are good, that's good! :D

I had 4 sets of koni's in my VR4 & all were crap, had a set in my V8 commodore rally car & they destroyed themselves in 3 stages og their 1st rally, got Spax in my cooper s & found them to be fantastic.

I was just having a look at the Koni website and what would be better the "Koni Special's" or the "Koni Sports"..Site say specials give improved handling, where as Sports shocks give the best handling with least body roll etc..Specials come in a lowered version, but the sports do not..

Those ones look ancient!

I once had a postage quote on some shocks from a UK ebayer...... I think they wanted £40 shipping.

They did say the shocks are pretty heavy though.

Hmm il just get my folks to get me a set when they go over there soon. Not sure weather to get he standard ride hight or lowered, the back of my car needs to be lowered and balanced, do the lowered ones work being near standard hight or get standard and will the be alright slightly lowered.
