nice article on mini 50 in the august edition, even made the cover. plus another article about hay.

Yeah, the 50 years article wasn't bad, but it was a bit disappointing that it made no mention of Aussie production and Aussie spec differing from UK spec. Again we will have a crop of noobs expecting all 1969 on models to have hidden hinges, for example.

I was very disappointed, I reckon the guys that wrote that article researched it all on the web. All of the guff (and most of the photos) referred only to UK production. They didn't even mention Australian manufacture.

For an article that they were making such a big fuss about (cover story etc), they could have done much better. Watto could knock up a better potted history of the Mini in about 10 seconds using only a pencil on the back of a table cloth.

The little 850 they feature is a ripper though.
