Hi all, :D

Is it possible that someone somwhere has a collection of old original TV adds for mainly morris minis like the 850, deluxe, cooper s and K?

Would like to see and possibly obtain some of these old adds as they are so cool. Okay I need to get a life I know.

Here's one for the Mini Deluxe I've found, it's not the full add but it gives you an idea of what I'm looking for. Just scroll down the list of adds you'll see it.

Any help etc would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Mal.

I can't believe that add!! The spinning car? How fast was it going?
And the way the add was finished off!!! Oh.... and the way she says what she says....My goodness!! She seems so innocent.
A brilliant risqué add.
But one thing for sure......hydrolastic does not work as well they ilustrate
it....no way.
I would have thought the TV stations would have these adds in an archive.

Thanks all for your tips and links to the youtube adds.

The up and down one for the deluxe is pretty cool as is the scenery.

There's one on youtube for the 850 which is brilliant but the quality is rubbish.

Be nice if someone put all these and many other Aussie adds together on a DVD because I'd buy one and I know others that would too.

Yes I need help but at least I know it!

Thanks again.

I've thought that many times , there are several ads in the govt's film archives but before they will release the copies of them you have to find the copyright holder and get their permission ....

Hi Ian,

Yeah and that would be a bit of a pain to say the least.

Here's hoping that someone has the time and inclanation to undertake such a task and collect all these things one day.
Watto's a good candidate he's not doing anything

But seriously just be nice for obsessed people like myself to be able to have a pile of these to view late night in the dark.

Slightly off topic but I found some old newspapers in my dads shed from 68 and they are full of Mini adds and dealerships. Really cool to read. What made me gag was the classifieds where Mini's and Coopers were for sale dirt cheap and very plentiful. If only I could borrow someone's time machine.

Cheers.

yeah... go back to just after the great depression, buy stocks in some of the companies that went crazy in WW2, go back to various years and bet on the Melbourne Cup, then jump forward to 1960, buy a big arse bit of land and build a big shed, then jump forward to a few different years in the 60's and buy one of everything off the showroom floor and put them all in the shed, then jump forward to each year and put fresh oil & petrol in them, run them all for an hour or so.....

haven't thought about it much
