Hi Jim,

Don't forget the Green hotwheels (200) with a checkered roof also came with a hotwheels collectors decal on the side, and in a version with 'lace' wheels.

The blue (158) hotwheels with checkered roof also came with lace wheels.

Expect to pay $10 to $15 each.

Then there is the chrome hotwheels, two versions, one on a 'super chromes' card, with american flag based decals, one loose that came in a USA target 10 pack in 2007 with 'Cr' decals.
Image

There are two 'treasure hunt' minis from hotwheels too;

The first came in 2002, and is black, very nice (expect to pay $20 ish)
The second was ultra rare in 2005, USA only release yellow with striped roof (expect to pay $100 ish)
Image

There was also a silver hotwheels released in a 5 pack, with tiger decals,
Also came in Orange with tiger decals in the USA.
Image

Then there was the bright orange hotwheels in a 'power launcher' set.
Image

With the matchbox van there are a few more;
The purple van in the 'plastic' box came with two wheel versions
Image

There are two "Best of British" released vans (limited to 9000) one is a drab olive (2008)
Image
the second is a cornflower blue butcher's van (2009).
Image

There is also a 10 pack (all exclusive, USA UK release only, VHTF) with a pearl white "pizza" van.
Image

And a Gold coloured van only one with a white base, which came out in a 10 pack in 2007, USA only.

Oh, the Blue van has two wheel variations too.

Then there are some promotional Matchbox Vans,
Metallic blue Matchbox Collector's official release (250 released by matchbox)
Image

Dark Green UK Matchbox collector's (400 released by matchbox)
Image

A promotional Matchbox sedan came out about 5 weeks ago, 250 released from the factory, metallic green, custom 50th decals, very nice.

The red sedan has just been replaced with a dark green sedan in the USA so we should see it in a few months!

I'll try and dig some photos out for you! {edit some pics added, just what i had}

Matt

Thanks very much, that was exactly the info I needed. It also reminded me I think I have the blue buthcers van somewhere. I will have to get the whole collection out and photograph all the models so I know what I have, not just matchbox. Thanks for taking the time to post the pics.

Hi,

Any details of the pack this came in? Would love to track down some more (only have 1)!

Yep the black one you showed is the 2002 treasure hunt. All of the treasure hunt range have real rubber tyres, and usually 'chrome' rims.

Cheers
Matt

Aw shucks.....

It's just a hobby, :lol: :lol: There are a couple i didn't mention, a van that was a toy fair release in the USA (a few hundred only i believe) and a 3 pack from Chile with a van in a different green. I don't have those.....yet!

& Thanks to Jim for the thanks also, don't forget to share some pics of your collection here and on the IMMCC once you have them done! Once the Muster is all done and dusted i'll have to update my collection too!

Cheers
matt
