My facet fuel pump is giving me some greef only started yesterday.
I had to tap it for it to start pumping :note it does not do it all the time. There is voltage to the pump.
Is there anything I could check to fix the problem or should I just replace it?

Cheers. :?

Those symtoms were the reason i replaced mine. The only other thing left for it do to is fail completely. You dont want that.

clean and check all connections.
Otherwise yes if I had the $$ I would replace the pump and keep the iffy one for a spare as we do with starters, alternators etc

When is it time to replace fuel pump

When it stops working...

I just found out when the Mini Van refused to start for my daughter when she came back to the car park from the Supermarket.
NRMA membership is great insurance when you own a mini :D
Problem diagnosed and car towed home.
Just need the time to replace the pump now :(
