A mate has just sold his beloved 35th anniversary Cooper and dropped it off at the Southampton docks for a long boat ride to NZ ...

Sadly not me, but it would appear that it's classified as a special interest vehicle (presumably down to its low production numbers) as it wouldn't meet the frontal impact requirement, in spite of Coopers being sold new here in 2000. At least that's how I read the legislation.

If he/she bought it for around 3,500 pounds, with shipping and other costs, it's probably not a bad purchase. The seats in particular are very very nice.

IF there is any kiwi's on here that has experiance getting a mini through SIV, PLEASE let me know, a mate is trying very hard to get an ERA turbo through!
