Removed the Rovers top crash pad without removing windscreen.....a firm but gentle persuasion was the way to go

Also remove 90% of the lower pad cleanly too...

Cut out both front floor sides and welded in a new drivers side and tomorrow should have the passenger side in too.

Had the day off today, so finally got around to clearing out a bit of rust and fitting my KAD Quickstick.

What a difference from the standard remote change! :D

Well... At least he red one runs, secondhand head gasket and all.

However, the blue one STILL has oil pressure problems. Can't muster more than 45 pounds. Oil still aerated. We pulled the head off it just to make sure it was all cool - which it was, but now, even with a new BK450 gasket all torqued down nicely, it is leaking water out the entire front face of the gasket.

So not enough oil pressure, water leaking all over the shop, and air in the oil too. Makes for a very frustrating two days solid work.

WTF?

I washed the Ramflo filter (Unifilter foam) out with turps, dried and oiled it.
Has done 11,000 miles, and a fair bit of stuff came out. Enough to convince me that air filters are worth having on a road car.
