Im starting to wonder if Im going to come up against this issue if I go to a Ausmini get together.... last thing I want is to be isolated......
Hmmm what to do?

Dont worry about. on a get together you'll be the only person to make it home without a breakdown. but seriously the runs are good and the people who go out to them are just there for fun and wouldn't care if you were driving a daewoo..

Minis are cool whatever model they are. I own Leyland Minis but would love a roundie and would also love to own a late MINI cooper s works(one day when I can afford it).

WELCOME AND HAVE FUN. :D

Roads, on thing you will find in here is that no one is shy. That's a good thing. I have a BMW M3 and most folks I know are like Jeremy Clarkson and call me a wally. You reckon I will sell the car? NFW.

I rented a BINI in the US and it was great. Ignore the critics and take the good.

Agreed, and push the button to wind up the windows and enjoy the AC in summer!

Never driven one..... yet, but I'd love to. I like them. and really, is there anything on sale now that gets any closer to the original mini characteristics?

A lot of people see them just the same as all other minis anyway. My G/F points out the MINIs and tells me about the one she saw on the way home as much as the classic minis.

Enjoy the new toy!
