forgot Yesterday I also cleaned up the HIF44 card and also replaced the filter

Today I contemplated taking the pinion out of the Remote change box but waited for a few comments from here. So I cleaned up a Binnical that one of our good friends on here sent me and fitted a Speedo and Oil Pressure and water temp Gauges. Looks brilliant once the glass and bezzles were clean again. Just wish the Oil gauge face was blacker thou.

Ended up taking the Remote change over to Dr Mini's and we are now going to clean that up and put it on the block

Its school holidays and as I'm a teacher it means I have time off to play with my car. So today I pulled the motor out ready for a rebuild, which wont happen until next month. It took me a while to do because first I pulled the car out of the garage, cleaned the garage, organised my tools, then worked on the car for 20min, had a cuppa and a chat to the neighbour, disconnected everything, went and got a hamburger with a mate, had a beer, played some darts, picked up the engine crane then finally lifted it out. I started at 10:30 and was completely packed up at 4:30. Not a bad days work

Decided the throttle pedal was getting a bit stiff, so pulled the cable outer off and cleaned the inner and unwound one broken strand back to the pedal. Treated it to a bit of graphite powder and threw it back on and now it's smooooooooth as silk again 8)

Cleaned the front and rear suspension parts of my Project car. Removed the bearings in the front and rear swing arms and then picked up a full set of reconditioning kits from Karcraft. Fitted the new bushes in the rear swing arms and reamed them out to fit the new shafts. Used the fantastic how to guide in Ausmini "Radius Arm Rebushing - A How To." Hope to paint the parts over the next few days and then refit the bearings. :)

cleaned up the twin carbs and started prepping the starter motor and alternator for a coat of paint. Tomorrow I will paint them then start cleaning up the engine bay.

Things left to do:
-get the extractors fixed
-get the tyres sorted
-fit the bonnet straps
-drop the motor off to get rebuilt
-refit the motor
-fit new gauges and binicale
-find new steering column shroud (mk1)
-fit new column, stalk and shroud
the list goes on.....
