Congrats! This your first?

Does the Mini have the extra anchor points for baby seats? I know my 1275 LS does.

Mini-K etc in `70 never had ANY anchors for rear seatbelts at all.
I put some baby anchors in my `68 S, 20+ years ago- reinforced the parcel tray with a big chunk of 3mm sheet!
 Go see `Littles Baby Restraints' on Sunnyholt Rd, behind Gasweld. Get a quote, or ideas... 8)

Mrs Kazjim cant stop going "oohhh" and "ahhhh" "He's going to be a Daddy" ....

Me, i've already got a nice "rangers" romper suit here for the little Gaf....
(they CANT be a gunners fan, i mean how will you have family rivalry?)

Anyway, we carried monkey in the back of brick for a few months and i used the seat bely mounting point (1968 - Lap sash.... not sure if they were original.. looked like clubbie ones.. long gone now...) and fitted his "Royal-Retractor" seat ..... it was a bugger to get in the door, but he loved it, such a high position and all-round view !

then again, Mrs Kazjim's auntie carried her kids around in a basket on the floor after taking out the passenger seat !! - they are 23 and 29 now ......

Nice, well done, please, keep us in the loop ? [email protected]

Later
J

So you finally worked out how to do it! well done mate! I know it takes years of practice but the result is worth it!
Baby seat wise, i have one in the Sedan (clubman) and one in the Van.
The sedan is a mounting point on the back parcel shelf fitted with a plate wedled in.
I would suggest that you get this done professionally. No back yard jobs. Reason for this is that then you have some liability.
The van i have a frame that holds a baby seat. It is RTA approved and has documentation to prove as such.you have seen it but your welcome to have a look again.

there the guys that fitted andsupplied the seat. Best in the business and really nice guys.

Again, congrats
and say congrats to your wife, she does all work.

Cheers

Congratulations Gaf.

I wouldn't worry about the baby seat just yet. When my sister-in-law had a Mk2 S it had to be sold when she could no longer fit under the steering wheel at 8 months - they didn't get to baby seat time!

Of course you realise that you'll be lucky to get an hour a day in the garage after the baby's born so you better get stuck into Marcia.

Kevin.
