Found my timing mark on the balancer and marked it with some nice fresh paint, attached timing light and i cant see mark, hrm.

Decide to start going through other leads and find my mark is a bit out when i look at it on lead #3 not Lead #1 , im guessing someones put the dizzy in 90' out, job for tomorrow.

Washed the dust off the paint and drove about hoping to spot or be spotted.

Installed the rebuilt wiper motor & rack in the Deluxe and adjusted the parking switch - wipers now working great, much faster & smoother and parking properly! Then rebuilt the starter motor on the 850, cleaned up all the earth connections, reinstalled and took it for a 30 min "test" drive. Then realised that I missed Bathurst.

Got the patch to fit the hole exactly to fix what was the rusty bit on the inner A panel - don't you hate it when you keep dropping the magnet in the all the grinding dust on the floor under where you have been angle grinding

I finally paid the Rego of my Mini today.
We have 90 days after the rego expires to pay up, over here, and with 2 weeks to go I thought I had better pay it.

And I have not sat in my Mini for 3 months

I think it still works.

A bit.

Looked at it on the stands and figured I should actually do some work on it.

Removed one tie rod end. Enough for one day :)

Discovered I hadn't allowed for the brakeline that connects the two wheel cylinders so I cut some new lengths of bundy and found some half decent male fittings and cleaned them up and ran a die down the threads - may give them an electroplate of zinc cause I can
