Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows the correct colour name for a light green August 1970 Mk2 Cooper S. The car is an ex NSW Police car if that helps. Cheers

I would say it would be Tamarisk Green or it could be Mist Green.
Tamarisk Green is a sort of pastel colour where Mist Green is a sort of crap colour.

Here is a thread with a tamarisk Green Cooper S... http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=261758

Take a look at http://www.elevenhundred.com/morris1500/colours.php for a rough colour guide.

Or could be Malmo green, I had an early MK2 which was this colour, almost cream.

Thanks for all those colour names!!

Loking at those colours think it might be Tamerisk green - or possibly Mist Green - sometimes called Mist Grey so I'm not to sure of that one?

I will try and get a photo of the colour - but it has been painted inside and out with BRG so there are only a few specks showing. Savannah Green looks a much darker colour.

Also my car came with no upholstery - any idea what colour it would have been? I have some oatmeal seats for it but the could be black in no time at all!

Also it has a fibreglass protection around the battery box - is that a Police car feature?

Cheers and thanks,

Graeme

Mist Green is a green not a grey, I think the lists that show Mist Grey are a typo.

G'day Graeme - welcome aboard.

That last Tamarisk Green car is an ex-NSW Police vehicle. It's featured in the Members Gallery which has a lot more shots of the car - http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19620

I'm really interested in the battery box protective coating. Let's see if you get a response. Why not post the question with a picture or two in Mini Chat?

Talk to you via email sometime soon.

Doug
