No , you don't win a trip to Leopold , but I can arrange that room in Honiara I mentioned before

I think I'd prefer Leopold. :D

At least I wouldn't have to pack!

Cheers,
Watto.

By thee way Mike , if you are wondering I didn't get the answer to the original question from google , it came from his auuthorised biography by Gillian Bardsley , I just checked google to see if there were inaccurate versions posted on wiki etc .

Oh well - we all learn from these quizes - pity there arn't more participants.

For interest Ian - I am off to Sydney tomorrow for the weekend (son is in last rehearsals for a professional production play) and then Monday we are preapring for shearing and Tuesday the wool comes off. So, my onging participation may be limited for a few days.

But please dont stop the quizzes - who knows perhaps a sponser will appear offering real prizes - perhaps a motoring magazine  offering subscriptions

Craig - I knew you would bite but I did think you would have googled and given an answer. To save you the trouble its a description of red blood cell changes seen in some disease conditions. There is technically more to it but now not relevant

Wrong time of day.

I've been following this one (at night), it's been great. Didn't get the first question (brilliant story), got the second, and knew that Issi was born in Smyrna (but couldn't remember his exact nationality).

Todays Question ,

After designing the Morris Minor but before the Mini Sir Alec Issigonis worked for another British car manufacturer designing and prototyping what would also have been a very advanced car for it's time .

Who was the manufacturer and what was the car and some of it's features ?

Made this one a little harder (for people other than watto) so maybe it will be running tonight for tadhg :D

Sorry Tadhg

I had read this before but couldn't remember as it was a more obscure car company. I thought it may have been Jowett - it wasn't.

So I had a conversation with Mr Google again. Took quite some searching but.... It was Alvis

Yes Mike , it was Alvis , but what was the model (there were two models , one was prototyped and tested extensively , the other never made it to prototype stage) and what were some of it's advanced features ?

I dont know off the top of my head but I know where to find the answers. It might be better if I dont search and let others have a go.

If the question is still up for grabs tonight then I may pick it up again then.

I have a feeling (a stray synapse) that it somehow involved rubber technology.

I knew the Alvis bit - you guys spend too much time on the computer.

I know what one of the cars was, that made it to prototype stage, but I wasn't aware there was a second.

I look forward to seeing the answer.

If no-one has got it by the time I'm on here next :?: I will put my 2c worth in.
