I belive Issigonis called him George because Dowson lived on his fathers Georgian Estate.

No actually , Issigonis decided "you don't seem like a John , you're more like a George" and then just called him George

Today's question , who were the 4 people who drove a figure 8 course around Australia in late 1965 in a mini deluxe and an Austin 2800 , what was the "new" oil that was tested in the "punishing conditions" , what did Jack Murray wear while driving in the outback regions and what ailment did he suffer during the trip ?

I know there's a lot of questions in there but some details are on the dvd cover and some you have to have read the book to know :P

Close enough , the oil was castrol XL , Yes Jack almost entirely wore either the leopard print underpants or nothing and he suffered severe heat stress and dehydration .

Todays question later .

Tuesday's question ,

While mini's are well known for competing in the Monte Carlo rally , what was the first year mini's were entered and who were the drivers of the 6 mini's that started ?

And yes , I'm staggering the time of the questions so others get a chance at answering them (or pulling their hair out)
