just to comment on orange's comments..

For tarmac, stick with 10's but go wide. 13s will affect your handling (+ will add weight)

Boosted 8.4's? Not under 10 inch wheels im afraid. And a booster just is added weight that is not required. Disc brakes are fine without a booster.

Would you still have subframes?? Or chop them up to save weight??

Would you still run an A series engine?

I'd say a clubby shell is too heavy to start with anyway... try an early 850 shell

OH.... and you'll need a snorkel for those water crossings.

note: i said use 13 and 12 inch wheels, thats y i sed 8.4's, and the booster would allow u to get a little closer to the corner before braking, so in theory it would save u time on the micro second u lost just coz theres 2 extra kilos in the car! and ur missing the point, this is not going to be a super money wrc winner, its a great thing to do just for enjoyment which means, changing the engine$$$$$$$$ i dont recall saying anything about the subframes, but keep the front and put a beam axle on the rear! if u set the car up right 13 inch wheels wont effect the handling enough to cause problems, plus u get much more traction from them, where as with tens they have to spin much faster to cope with the same speeds!

Hmmm. Couple of things with a brake booster...
1. You will lose the "feel" of the brake pedal. OK for city streets, not for racing.
2. A booster wont increase the braking ability. Its for those girls who cant push the pedal hard enough to lock the brakes.
2. Reducing weight is a MUCH better way of increasing a vehicles performance. A lighter car will accelerate and brake faster. 2kgs WILL make a difference.
3. A booster is just another thing that can fail. Cmon - it IS a mini afterall.

Also, larger (and possibly heavier) wheels will put extra rolling resistance on the motor, reducing the available power. Dont worry about tyre RPM, worry about the FLYWHEEL rpm

Im not trying to start an argument here, simply staing facts.

OK so how do i get sponsored.

And into rally in the first place.

I'm gonna get as much hills driving experience as i can.

What else?

I"m thinking this should be a road/rally mini, as to supersprint it too.

What body mods are required?

And the big question... where do i get a (good) Morrie shell from (people say not to hack up a good mini like mine- so i wont.)

as u know ie pt an add in the victorian mini mag for u. dont use ur rally car as a road car, u will find it hard to register it for starters, then u wont be able to equip it to the max... if u know wat i mean, use the clubbie on the road, its all cold and neglected, it needs some love!!!

When i say road/rally; i mean that it will be used for track use too.
Supersprinting, closed tarmac rally events, etc.
As well as the bush bashing rally
