998 Clubby-
Beware- the Honda wheel studs are 100.0mm PCD, Minis are 101.6mm (4") PCD.
If you run the Hondas the studs WILL break. I've seen it happen..

Get them redrilled or buy new wheels with 4" PCD holes...

No, I don't think 70 series 13" will fit the rear, 50s are OK.

sorry if this has already been asked: so the civic disc conversion will basically bolt straight up to the drum hubs with a caliper mounting bracket bolted on as well and using standard drum drive shafts? pity that cd rom can;t be produced. maybe make it available on a website or something for people to download?
cheers
Ashley.

yeh pretty much, FOR 12 INCH WHEELS ONLY, if u are running 10s the disc needs to be machined to 7.9in, and you also need 25mm or 1 inch spacers to clear the wheels, this also brings it out to the track of a cooper 'S' , also with the 10in conversion the outer brake pad has to be modified to clear the brake rotor 'hat' .when using 12in wheels you need a 19mm spacer (guide only)

Yep it uses the DRUM brake type driveshafts, CVs and swivel hubs. You leave them on the car.
Only mod is to the drum type drive flanges- I machined the front step to 65mm dia to locate the Honda disc, (which I also bored to 65mm).
This is the easiest way I've found to ensure the discs run true without radial runout. 8)

You use stock Cooper S rear or Mini S long studs (52mm?), as the thickness of the disc and spacer assembly is the same as a stock `spacered' drum. 8)

I've got dimensions now, will get a CAD dwg done this week, I hope..

Basically though if you look at my Pic & info on Page 5 of this thread, the dimensions shown can be used, except the 2x 12mm holes are moved back by 15mm, and plate size is made 175mm high x 130 wide.
Use 7 or 8mm plate.. 8)

hey ben...can you send me some pics too.....

i'm struggling to get my head around the drive flange machining bit......
which part of the drive flange is machined?? the bit that goes into the hub?? does that mean different bearings r needed and wouldn't it be easier to just bore the rotor to fit the flange? or am i WAY off here?

thanks guys :)
