As some might know, I've had a set of carpet templates floating around which have been freely on loan to anyone and everyone, and have made better than a dozen carpet sets so far. I loaned them out again a number of months ago again to someone on here, and have not received them back, or received any updates as yet....and I've since lost the address details from a recent hardrive crash...

If you've got the templates, could you please let me know, I've got two of people lined up to use them next, and would love to get them back out there again...

Four?

Four people now waiting in an orderly queue!

Yes four, I need to make carpets for the Cooper S but I am in no hurry.

Have you located the templates yet?

No, not yet...

If they are lost for good, I would be willing to make another set of patterns up. I know Andrew at NMP has a set of powder blue carpets aside from a resto and might be able to ask him as my 3.5 month christmas holiday summer extravaganza approaches rapidly....or if someone else has a set they wouldn't mind letting me paw over for three-four days.... (Please??).
It's non destuctive (of course), the carpet pieces overlap so patterns can be taken directly off the material quite easily.

But would prefer to get the current ones back if the Ausmini'er happens to cross the post in their travels...

Have you looked back through the last thread about carpets to see if it gives a clue as to who may have them?

I seem to remember the request as a PM...but would welcome any clues being forwarded. I guess the Ausmini'er might appreciate a poke to remember the templates is all...

Well we know it isn't me so that has them, so that narrows the field down a little.

My "S" still has the side strip pieces along the inner sills, I could remove them to make a template of those two bits. :?

That would help...I'll have a chat to Andrew and see what I can do in the meanwhile.

I could use the carpets I made up last january, but would rather take them off a master set of originals. Its better that way.

Mick - the back carpet in the MK II S I just acquired is original so you are welcome to borrow that to make a template. It still has the four rectangular pieces of thick black plastic that were held on by rivets to protect the carpet from the tubular front seat frames. As an aside, has anyone found an alternative source for the plastic rectangles?
The front carpet has gone to god but the pieces glued to the seat crossmember, under each door and the wheel wells are there (including the small rubber mat on the driver's side wheel well).
