Hi all,

So my drivers door is not aligned properly. It opens fine using the inside handle, but gets stuck using the outer handle. It also seems to sit out at the rear.

Is there a guide to aligning the door?

The way that I align the door is to loosen the bottom nut closest to the door jamb so that the door can just move. The other 3 I loosen a fair bit. I pick the door up with one arm and slowly tighten the 3 loose nuts with a ratchet & socket (1/2" socket required and an extension bar & also a phillips head screwdriver).

It will take you a few go's to get it right.

If you find that is too hard I have also had success with a rag over the head of a floor jack under the "B" pillar end of the door.

im also having the same trouble. the doors are a royal pain in the arse

If it's a pre-Clubby door, the lock itself may be worn inside. The exterior handle only has a limited travel, and with a worn lock eventually it won't open.
My RH door is like this, I have another lock to bung in when it eventually gives me the sh!ts.

I'm in the same boat but when I align them they fall back down within a day no matter how tight I do them up.

If it is a Clubby, the operation of the outside handle is adjustable. You'll need to wind up the window and remove the trim. If you look behind the handle you'll see an adjustable pivot bracket. Don't be tempted to make it to 'touchy' thou.
