Shell has been blasted over the weekend and apparently it is full of bog... Stuff it!!

Looked really straight too - the blokes who blasted it for me were really surprised because they thought it was a really straight shell with nothing in it, then they took off the 2 layers of paint and it was full of the bloody stuff...

Feel really depressed now...

Hope it isn't as bad as they say...

Big Dan

there was a K shell selling in Syd recently. $500 with S discs.

The reason it was so cheap?? The guy had it blasted and  where did all those holes appear from?

I don't think blasting is such a great idea now......

Well, went and paid for the blasting and checked out the shell about 1/2 hour ago, and...

Its all good!! The blasting guys talked it up a bit - think they were trying to get me worried!!Some lazy ning nong has just decided to run a skim of bog over heaps of small dings instead of pulling them out - there is a fair bit in the front panels, bonnet etc, and a couple patches elsewhere on the car, but it should be easy as to fix. Most of the dings will knock out no worries and the bog should all come out easy as pie!!

Shell looks the goods now - how good does it feel to see it in primer!!

Seems I was worrying for no reason!!

And guys, blasting does a really good job if the person doing it knows their stuff - I couldn't have asked for a better or easier way of cleaning up a shell... I wouldn't be doing it if I knew the car had heaps of rust but with a solid base it is fine...

Yeah I am really pleased - should be no hassles at all to get it looking like new!!

Will take some pics on the weekend and post them up - should be able to get some good ones of the bog patches!!

Plan is for it to be painted blue with a white roof - just flat blue, no flecks, metallic paints etc... The blue will be a couple shades darker than the blue used on WRX's, so should contrast well with the white rooof.

Before I get it sprayed however I am going to put in a full rear cage (CAMS Approved) which I will probably get sprayed blue as well.

Will posts pics up asap.
