Yeah, it's horrible. I've got nearly two inches of white at the edge of either page because the theme won't utilise the whole screen the way that the skylineGrey did.

Things are in the wrong spot, the thread icons are stupid.....I don't like it.

Don't we have computer programmers who are members on this site? Can't the God keys be lent to them so they can fix it?

Dear Diary, Day five and things are still unchanged. The screen is still narrow and the font is still tiny. I can only look at the screen for 10 minutes before my eyes start to feel sore.
You would think that Poeee would be able to fix it but he used the horrible ndesign before because he likes all the pretty pictures at the top of the screen. Maybe he does not realise what a difference it makes to the over 40s when everyone's vision starts to deteriorate slowly.
There is no point in asking Mick to try and fix it. He was the one who buggered it up in the first place. Should buy him some boxing gloves for Christmas so that he can't do any damage when he plays with the keyboard.
I don't know how much longer I can put up with the ndesign format, it has taken a lot of enjoyment out of reading Ausmini

Can I suggest that everyone who is adversely affected by this theme send a PM to Mick and/or Poeee so they understand the scale of the problem?

I don't imagine it's a terribly difficult thing to fix, but seeing how the forum went down so easily when Mick tweaked it the first time, there might be some hesitation to fiddle with it again in case it fails for a second time.

If there's a large population affected, it might influence the decision ;)

So what are you seeing , is it just that it's stuck on ndesign and you want it to go back to sub silver or is it something else altogether ? I have had mine on ndesign for several months which is why I keep saying it looks normal for me . What did Mick do to change it (if that's what happened ???) and when , I think it must have been away when it happened and I missed that bit :?

Ian, it doesn't matter what theme you select in your profile, you get ndesign. Scott has hard-coded that somewhere after an 'upgrade'/change which Mick attempted failed, which took the forum down. My guess is that they haven't got around to correcting it yet, or it's harder to fix than it appears.

And as I said before , if it's going to stay on default is it possible to increase the size of the standard font , me , I,m fine with default , with my browser setting I never had a choice, but Jon, Michael and others have been affected adversely , and on top of that , for some reason they have red text not black which is making life even more difficult for a few people who are color blind .

Actions were made to prevent a problem from occuring again in the future. Just so people know.

So everyone that is whinging in this thread, don't start whinging and groaning in the future if you can't to the forums because of a template/style error.

Goodnight.

Thank you Scott

we whingers can now read the screen ( well almost after hiting cnrt + about 6 times), if I read right the problem was caused by Mick fiddling and you have to expect that to happen from someone who is trained by a group that buys tanks that don't fit into anything to move them, planes that haven't been built that evryone knows will be out of date before we get them and has subs built that leak and cant run underwater

Out of interest, was this a security-related change with phpBB? Just curious...
