Where abouts are you going ? There is a museum at Wanaka with a few mini's (among a crap load of other interesting stuff , another town on the West coast of the south island (where they have penguins and seals , can't remember it's name now) has a small museum with a couple of mini's and an elf . Not sure what else though , rehab1964 was talking about some north island museum recently and put photo's in the photo section .

Southward Musem just north of wellington is fantastic - only a couple of mini's, but lots of cool stuff!

just out of Napier on the east coast on the way to Cape Kidnapper is the Te Wanga British car musuem - see my spotted for his cars - amazing

I wouldn't go to MOTAT in Auckland at the moment if you're looking for cars as that part of the exhibition is closed for renovations, the rest in interesting though.

Other than that there's the Southward museum in Wellington for car and if you're down there also have a lok at Te Papa - the museum in Wellington CBD, it's awesome

if you're interested in resturant reviews let me know - we ate our way around the island!

you'll see a few mini's still in daily use but mainly the NZ car fleet seems to be mid 80's to mid 90's Japanese stuff

I remember a really good museum on the south island, may have been near napier. I think it had a German name or was owned by a German collector, they were doing restos as well.
