Finely got the remaining brake lines flared ( went to a 'Real' Brake place)

Now to add the new wheel cylinders to the front hubs and connect them with the new lines

I really hate this $%$$#$% car.

Tried to bleed brakes. Still has air and no pedal. Missed blue slip appoinment.

Tried to get oil pressure - can't.

Finished electrics and dash lights won't work.

Had to replace speedo cable and ended up having to remove bottom radiator hose to get to connection.

Refill raditor.

Coolant leaks all over engine because sender thread is leaking.

Restamp engine because numbers have gone when block decked.

Door handles droop even with new springs.

Drop hammer on door and leave a sizeable dent.

etc. etc. I hate this %$^^%&&*** car!

Cut a 750mm*200mm hole in my firewall, it's a big hole and will be filled by split Webers, water meth injection unit, cold air induction, catch can and a rad overflow tank.

I also ripped out the heater as I will be running a small electric one to pass rego. I removed the dash too as I will be welding some tube in to hopefully add some stiffness.

Pulled the Left hand front hub apart - had trouble getting the bearing out until a large circlip almost like a piston ring poped out - :? didn't have that the other side. Then had fun getting one of the swivle joint nuts off - ended up deforming it with the cold chisel to get it moving - few wear marks - mangled retaining washers and no rubber caps - looks like I'll have to buy some new kits - bugger- time is running out to get this shell rolling

After lunch: re-shimed the driverside swivel joints and got them right this time  sat the driverside hub in the suspension on the car.

Installed new Timken roller bearings in the passenger side hub, added backplate with new wheel cylinders installed - can't do any more as I need new swivel joints for this side. Ordered them. Started to install new shockers to front - found out I need a new bottom attachement bolt thingy on the passengers side (Remembered I had to cut that one to get it off  ) Fitted adjustable suspension bits to passenger side.

Hooked up all the front brake line bits undone to remove hubs - just realised they need to be screwed to hubs BEFORE they are bolted up - DUH!

Fitted remaining short brake line bits on rear right swing arm - installed hand brake cables, fitted rear wheels and inflated them.

FINALLY, FINALLY started engine (thanks to advice from the good Doctor).

Adjusted clutch.

Problem with carbies ( 2 x 1.1/4)
Even with idle screw all the way out engine idles too high. Adjust the jets a turn up maybe??????.

Anyway drove to end of the driveway and reversed back again. First time mobile in two and half years!!!!!

Brakes still don't work.

Don't touch the jets until you have checked you dont have an air leak on the manifold. My bet is it's leaking.
