Pulled out the speedo as it's developed a mind of its own and goes around the clock to the stops at anything over 10km/h. Hopefully dropping it off for repairs tomorrow, although it'll be interesting getting around without a fuel gauge.. the 5L jerry can's not leaving my sight

I sold Percy the Panelvan to some guy in Japan, he went off on a truck today, via Minisport, was a bit sad, but then I got the 'Atomoke' (as in 'auto' but Atomic Moke sounds better...) running and took her for a nice drive, still some bugs to iron out, but overall it runs very well :D Hope to get it running well for the weekend, join Peter1's run to Victor.

BTW, that was after I connected the Moke alternator wrong and had a little fire! nice bunch of tidy wires, now a melted mess, so I have resorted to dodgy supercrap wires..... At least it is running now!

Cleaned out the insides of the Mini of all the tools (Ahh....... that's where that was ) and crap and vacumed out all the dirt and dust that has built up over 9 years now to fill it up with bits for the move. Started packing Mini parts and bits into plastic boxes for the move as well.

Finally sorted carbies idling high.
Polished and waxed exterior - nice and shiny.
Gave up trying to fix brakes and sent to brake place on tilt tray.
So I fixed two problems and the car left with one problem. :D

1 day later came back on tilt tray.
Brakes fixed (new line had a fracture on the seam - still got charged for a new one by the same place that suppile the bad one).
Someone had spilt 'something' (I suspect brake fluid) on the roof and had tried to remove it but managed to dull all the clearcoat!
Car wouldn't idle and found the su springs had 'gone'.
Headlights worked - now don't.
So I now have fixed one problem and found three new ones.

Sorted ignition out on a member's Mini. It wouldn't idle, sounded like it was a `HS6 carby lean' problem. But the real fault was it had points ignition and a GT40R coil (getting hot), and loose spade lugs on the terminals.
Minis are tricky animals...

Friday: Sorted the left hand wheel hub - put in - added wheels - dropped the car down off the stands onto the wheeled dollies ready to wheel over to the sky hook to drop the motor in Saturday.

One embarassing moment - discovered adjustable lower arms can be put in 180 degres about on the wrongs sides and still attach tie rods  Wondered why tappered holes for swivel pins were upside down

I put the project mini on the shelf today, by myself so I'm now shagged.

Now I've got some floor space, I can get around to fixing Mokesta who has ignition issues, ball joint issues, needs a fuel pump etc.
