That's interesting , as mentioned above i have the nitro kyosho from a similar time (early 90's) and it is a completely different chassis , basic plastic tub . Please let me know if you ever want to sell the spare chassis .

I have 2 Tamiya minis, the 1/8 nitro and the 1/10 electric.

The nitro has a .15 engine instead of .12 and i upgraded it to a 2 speed gearbox, then 1st gear stripped so i put in a gearset for a higher top speed, it was good for about 80 - 85, you cant do that for long tho.
It needs a front suspension arm kit and new body.

The electric is standard other than a stronger front suspension setup from the next model up.

Ian I saw the pics you put on here.I will keep you in mind for the chassie.

Tombo was the .15 engine a Tamiya one or aftermarket?
Mine has an OS engine.....I would like to get the 2 speed box. Do you get to drive it much?

Might bring mine to Hay????
