G'day, same thing happened to me , i 'd been driving my mini around , parked it back in the shed , a couple of weeks later could not find the keys for the life of me, luckily for me i'd had a spare cut so i used that and you wouldn't want to know i found the original key in a pocket of a jacket that i must of been wearing at the time, that was about 6 - 8 months later.

Try the keys of any other Mini owners you know. I lost my keys a few weeks back, made a thread on here and learned how to hot wire my car, and also found a key that fit.
A few days later, before I had a chance to get a key cut, my keys turned up in a mate's bag, and an old set of keys I'd lost a year before turned up at another friend's house with a set of keys to my old Mini, which match my current Mini keys exactly (stamped the same number and all).

you lock your mini?????

I used to use an old padlock key to start my mini after losing my keys and never actually locked my car and never had issues.

Rather leave the door open than some pr1ck smash a window or bust my door lock trying getting in....

Clearly you dont live in Blacktown :P

I'd be checking jackets/clothes as others have suggested. I tend to always find mine lurking in my big toolbox thing at home...

i was standing at work today and reached my thumb into the little coin pocket of the jeans i was wearing - and found the bleedin' SIM card that i'd taken out when we were on holiday to swap in a local one. At least I get my lost contacts back :)

Yes, jacket pockets, jeans pockets, or the floor where you threw them or kicked them off, under the bed etc etc. Down the back of the shelf/unit/sideboard where you're keys and loose change live, between the cushions on the sofa, in the middle of the grass on the front yard, just lying there 3 days after last time they were seen.

These are all places I've found my keys. the last one was lucky, I'd lost them and wasn't actually looking, then on bin night, i was walking across the grass to get the bin and the wife's car 'plipped' and flashed indicators - i'd stepped on the remote!

I rode my Triumph down to the in-laws farm a few years ago. That evening the phone rang with someone looking for me.
Turns out a farmers wife was walking along the road and picked up my wallet.
When she said where see was I knew the spot instantly.
My back ached for hours after I hit that tree root in the middle of the road!!

Check your driveway.
Now this migh sound strange  but just do it :D
I lost my mini keys for about 7-8 months ago.The other weekend i was putting the bins out and there was the set of keys(just 3 keys on ring) squashed by our other car in the center of our driveway???
may as well look, it was the last place i would of looked but who knows :)

My Minis don't even lock and one of them hasen't even got any doors to lock. If any one needs them more than me they can have them, But beware to be ready for the consequences ! They are both insured by "MAFIA all Vehicle Ins.".

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T LOSE HOPE!!!!

My uber expensive sunglasses mysteriously went missing last year on Christmas day when my wife's cousin was around with her drop kick boyfriend. I questioned the two of them, both swore they hadn't seen them. We tore apart my parents-in-laws house looking for them, and gave up thinking aforementioned drop kick had pocketed and then hocked them. Not wanting to cause a family rift, I let it go.

I got a phone call this morning from my mother in law, who had found them lying in the middle of their loungeroom floor. No idea how they got there, who put them there, or how long they had been there, but I DON'T CARE COS I GOT THEM BACK!!!

It might take you nearly a year like my sunglasses did, but they'll turn up
