my flywheel has been balanced and back plate and clutch
upon assembly and starting the car i get a vibration at around 1100rpm to 1500rpm clears by 2000rpm and seems to idle ok
could this be because i have got the pressure plate out of alignment
flywheel had no "A" mark cause it was lightened.

can these parts out of alignment cause issues, or damage to the motor?
i guess the other option is to turn pressure plate around have 2 more guesses

When they balance these assemblies, they usually (but not always) do them as a complete assembly, so it is important to reassemble the flywheel, backing plate and clutch diaphram is the same relationship as they were balanced. The guys that did the balalncing should have marked these components relationship to each other, but they don't always do this.

You may have to pull it apart and re-assemble it in different orders to try to find the 'sweat spot' if they haven't been marked.

Have you checked the the drive straps on the flywheel have not stretched or 'picked up' on the shouldered bolts?

i checked drive straps where parallel, and did the 3 bolts that attach to pressure plate up to 22nm as per book

not sure what you mean by shouldered bolts?

All 6 strap bolts are shouldered, ie the thread is smaller than the bolt body.
The short 3 go into the flywheel.
Make sure the other 3 go all the way into the backplate.

OK, there are 6 'special' bolts on the flywheel / backing plate that go through the drive straps, they have a shoulder or dowl on them to accuately locate the drive straps. They look like these;-

http://www.minisport.com.au/prod1380.htm

BUT there are 3 that length and 3 shorter ones (The long ones go in the backing plate, the short ones in the flywheel).

Unusual to have vibes when it's all been balanced.
I would check that the flywheel bolt is not bottoming in the crank, ie flywheel may be slightly loose even though bolt is tight..
I've seen it twice lately.
Shorten the bolt slightly if needed.

No, that shouldn't have any bearing on it, but it can result in a welded throttle and / or choke cable!
