Save your money, leave it in 1 piece. The only part that ever stuffs up is the vacuum can.

Will these go into a A+ block as easily as they do into an A?

Pretty much. I'm about to fit one into our 1293A+.
Only differences- fit A+ drive dog & pin, and file or turn the 3 casting fins off the body so the A+ clamp will fit.
Diameter and length are OK.
Easy peasy.

Wow, I just fitted mine last night too!

Very easy job and the car starts well and pulls better from lower revs. I think the advance curve suits it better. Still have to open up the plugs and get the timing right.

I will see what the fuel economy figures come up like as I have kept a record of the economy since I bought the car in 1998 so any major difference should show up.

No problems with clearance in the engine bay of a Morris 1100  And the ice cream tub still fits over the dizzy cap.

At First i thought something was horribly wrong... it used to sound like "dub, dub, dub" now its more "rap, rap ,rap" . . sounded REAL LEAN to me.... check ed plugs.. PERFECT ... hmmmm

quick email to kev, "Yep, that means its working" .... Phew! :P

Still spooks me though.... (Lean+Turbo = $$$)

made my re13 998 SO MUCH more drivable. . . . its actually usable below 3000now !!

Nice work Kev

I like the way it keeps firing `em properly, to 8,000 and beyond.. pretty good `speed equipment' for $40! :P

It only takes an hour to modify it and fit it. Don't hang around! Do it!

I cut the lug off the dizzy with a hacksaw and then filed it round with the angle grinder  Dressed it up with a file and then drilled the hole out. It takes longer to find the tools than doing the actual job!

If you clamp the angle grinder `gently' in the vice and fit a flap (linishing) disc, it makes a dandy linisher.. gives a nice finish on most materials. 8)

what dissy would be best for my car it is a 1144 i think and has twin carbs ands i very lumpy idle :)

im gonna go look for a pulsar dissy shortly and im not sure which one to get
Pulsar auto- D4R83 :?
Pulsar manual- D4R85 :?

also i have this coil at home it is a bosch gt40rt super sports coil 12v and was wondering if that would work with the pulsar dissy or to try and get a pulsar coil with the pulsar dissy :?

Either dizzy will do, 85 probably best if engine is modified.
No that coil will not do- it's a 3 ohm (12V) one. Pulsar dizzy uses a 1.5 ohm.
Just grab the Pulsar coil, with the dizzy & cap. Note the blue wire goes to <-> on coil.
