Hello all.....

I have started taking my mini for small test drives around the block... and all is well until I turn right. I turn right and it stalls and takes a couple minutes to start again.

I don't think its a starving issue because the pump gets really noisy when its low and I haven't heard a peep....

any ideas?

I was thinking that too......maybe to high? would that make it flood on turns? I will go have a look at it after

I had similiar issues. Turned out to be needle! But that would only be my thought!

Just don`t turn right & problem is solved :-)

ok ok,,, sorry,,, couldn`t resist it :-)

most probably & commonly a float angle / level situation

No offence intended here but--> anyone writing a book about minis 30 years ago may not have experienced such worn or stuffed-with components as we are finding these days.

I would also think it would be float level. :D

But you can't overlook a hidden electrical problem with problems when cornering on particular way. It might be something silly like a loose wire on an electric fuel pump or a coil wire that shorts when cornering. :shock:

totally agree & i was actually going to type all that too ,but it seemed to long ,,, & everyone knows i don`t like typing long responses :-)

thanks guys I will have a quick check of the power to the pump.

I will then refer to my Mini texts and insure the float level is correct....


I never really gave it that much thought because I didn't think the float bowl would empty and refill "that" often, and the fact that fuel is drawn from the bottom of the bowl... I wont put that much thought into it and just fix it.
