:-(

Mate, I hope Kirra and her bum will be OK, not good, especially this time of year.

Your wallet, just like you will get over that part of it....

Cheers and (not too) Merry Christmas, don't puke in the keyboard, it's too hard to clean out

Oh that`s just a guestimate,,, not counting the first consulktaion fee & then the opperations allways ends up more than they say it will,,, then there will be the "bring her back in a week or 2 for a look & pay some more ,,, OH!!!! & then there will be all the pills & creams & the time off looking after her so she doesn`t pop her poo-poo valve if/when she finally has a sh!t :-)

ahhh,,,, just love boxers,,, always full of cancers but never a dull moment :-)

But i must say (getting back to the thread topic) i did fit 2x stainless rear brake hoses onto my hillclimb speical about 1/2 an hour ago :-)

Cut a big hole in the spare wheel well because it was mainly rust and paint.

Image

Did, well, a bit of a dodgy repair but it's solid. It just doesn't look all that pretty. I think the next mini will end up with the correct replacement panels, this one is more of a practice run of what to do and what not to do. I'm sure it will come up better with some grinding and bitumen noise deadener/sealer in the boot and if it doesn't? Well then there's carpet, isn't there :D .

Image

Now you are probably thinking "What about the batterybox"? Well it's not as bad as it looks and will clean up alright, most of it is flakey paint that is rust coloured it's still pretty solid. Just got that little bit to patch now.. then it's onto the scuttle panel on both corners of the windscreen. Will this ever end??

Fitted a new clutch and pressure plate into the Mini Van, plus replaced the primary gear oil seal. Clutch plate was not as bad as I thought but oil seal and primary gear were leaking oil

 box is almost together just missing a couple of parts. Did a bit of searchings for a few things and organizing. Looking forward to the next two months 8)

What did I do to my mini today.... Well it started around 2am this morning when I couldn't sleep so I went out to the shed and started pulling the engine out. Not wanting to make too much noise I couldn't finish the job until later on today. Please don't mock me on the straps I used on the block and tackle, they were all I had because someone has borrowed my chains the bastages.

Swinging free!

Clean up isle 7 please, Isle 7..

There is years upon years of poo on this.. And yes that is an alternator bracket and it's doing a wonderful job of not letting the webbing strap slip off :D
Image

Now I just have to clean the shed up again. Mini on one side engine strippng on the other..I'm a messy person, but I know where everything is.

Started prepping a Mk2 S gearbox case with selector forks etc. It will get all the parts out of my rodchange box (under the 1412 stroker).
I'll fit Hardy Spicer outputs, so I can drop it straight into my car if/when I need to.

A couple of us from Maitland went on a spur of the moment small road trip. Others couldnt make it on short notice. GREAT MINI ROADS. (anyone that owns a mini would love it..but their partner may not) Up the Pacific Highway, turned off and through Wauchope. Fantastic winding road. Stopped for lunch at Gingers creek. Then off to Apsley falls for a look. The some nice country roads with long straights to strectch the Mini's legs :D Then trough Walcha with overnight stay in Tamworth and home today. Around 750 klms and a great drive except for torrential rain at times on the way home from Tamworth today
