Easily distinguished by the appearence of the carbie itself.

If the mount on the manifold has its studs on a 45deg angle, then it is a 1.5" SU. If the studs are vertical, then it's a 1.25".

Fuel Miser rebuild kit `SU-750' from Repco etc, fits both HS2 & HS4 carbs.
I just got 2 of 'em off MiniK to do my twin HS4s. :D

Kit includes needle & seat, all gaskets, & new jet assembly.
Around $20.

That engine # is a 1098.
It would have had a 1.25" (HS2) originally but these days many have been fitted wit 1.5" (HS4) off a 998 Clubbie..
Kit I listed above will fit both.

what exactly do you mean? i just looked at it and from a birds eye view its bolted on by 2 bolts and the top bolt is on the left hand side and the bottom bolt is right hand side underneath the throttle linkage,
Cheers

OK... if the bolts were above one another it would be an HS2- but yours are diagonal pattern so it's an HS4 (1.5").
