Ok guys I got a 1100 bored out 40 thou with a re13 cam and a 344 diff got a standard head on ATM with double valve springs and 1.1/4 carbie planning on getting a bigger head for it the question is if I am sitting still and drop the cluch wile reving it should it spin the wheels ?? Cause it don't

Yes you should unless you've got super sticky tyres on there. My 998 will spin my A008's a bit off the line if I get a bit too excited, and it'd probably do more except i don't want to bust my gearbox so tend to sacrifice the clutch, and if you want the gearbox and associated bits to last a while I suggest laying of the heavy handed launches.

Just had gear box redone but even if I rev the guts out of it and drop the clutch I get no spin its like the clutch just slips ???? And grips slowly

What clutch diaphragm did you put in- the 1098 had a green dot one stock that was too weak. You want the blue dot Cooper S one. 8)

It could also be the clutch assembly height isn't correct.

Um all the clutch and stuff come out of my 998 motor which I pulled out to put new motor in

998 diaphragm has a weak spring too.
Like I said, just fit an S one, but make sure the clutch assembly is set up right.
After 4 years of people re-machining the backplates and flywheels, most are miles out, and clamping force is then much lower.
