I wasn't posting on here when you could reply to the ads in the for sale, but I think that aspect should stay the way that it is now. There is the PMs for correspondance which are in effect commercal discussions.

Could it work where only the original poster and mods ofc could post in a for sale thread?
That way if theyre getting a lot of pm's all about the same question they can reply en masse.

I personally have no Idea of what things are worth(I can admit it). So I lkie read about the differing opinions. But dont think that some of the verbal bashing is required, sure point out your opinions but there is no need to be rude about it. Manners are free, so there is no reason to use as much of them as you can.

Well, I have bad news...I have travelled to almost every country in this world and in my experience most people will lie, steal and kill to better themselves. You will always be second in the queue.

I once bought a BMW motorcycle from a Vicar (a bloody Vicar for gods sake) who told me there was nothing wrong with the bike. When I got home I noticed that underneath looked very clean and suprise, suprise it had been scrubbed clean because there was an oil leak. At that point it cemented my understanding of humanity.

There is a legal concept called Caveat Emptor (buyer beware) - it's been around since roman times and there is a reason why.

If you are going to buy anything from anybody - have it fully checked.

Sooo true, I purchased a business of a lovely Catholic couple in their late 50s, went to confessional and all that garb, butter wouldnt melt in their mouths, paid 60 g for the business only to have them keep all the creame jobs and cash customers under the same business name with one letter added to it. Only a few off the top of my head Mick , can't remember any of the epic ones but some of them were pure unadulterated crap ..

Yes , some of them deserved to be questioned by people , but best not done publicly like it used to be .
