Save the pain, take the divorce!!

WHAT!!!!!!!! then I will have to give her half of my workshop and my mini collection
After being married for37 years I think I can put up with a bit more nagging

No Mate, just give her the house, all of it, then you get to keep the workshop and mini collection which in $$$ I'd say you'd be better off.
Na...all good, 37 years ain't bad. And Dave, your good wife does not nag you, it's just that we all need constaint reminding because we get so pre-occupied with our hobbies........
Pffft, that just the kind of justification I would expect to hear from a wife right there... "you need reminding because you just get so emersed in your hobby"
No, its nagging. You can't brass plate a turd. You can roll it in glitter. But you can't brass plate them.

David, thats a pretty interesting idea there with the bike gear sets,,, what if you did away with the original case all together? With the effort involved in what you are talking about, a new casing wouldn't that much harder to fabricate plus you can make it out of some descent materials,,,, or do a better job of designing an aluminium one?
