I don't think minis with sliding windows had door cards, it was a small parcel shelf and the outside door skin, but I may be wong. I will find out soon.

Yep Davo , the inside of a sliding door is just vynil stuck on 1/4" thick coarse padding which is stuck to the inside of the door skin .

The early coopers & the 1071 cooper"S"`s had sliding window doors with proper door cards,,, but the 850s just had glued vinyl with that awfull heshan stuff under it :-)

The Newton commercial door cards are good but they are extremely hard to put in , several different bends in several different directions required. i have lost the contact for the guy who remade mine if I find it i will let you know.

I've got a couple of old half rotten one's stashed away but they have taken me ages to find.

I have however noticed at a couple of Mini meets some 850's with what appears to be new made gear but looks pretty much identicle to the original. It looked too new to be original in my opinion so maybe someone out there has a roll of it or has got some made.

I could go a pair that's for sure.
Door liners that is.

In the second pic the seats have been done in the same gear.

Any ideas anyone?

Below pics are of the cars I mentioned.

And.

Maybe someone knows.

On my computer the top one looks to have horizontal seams - like the original Cooper/UK style doorcard. Or, replacement versions bought from the UK.

The lower one looks more like the vinyl sheet Oz style....

Cheers, Ian
