OK finally got into the garage for some garage time since my boy was born and played with the toyo rockers

I used a cam with lift at 0.264" (that whats was in the motor that was clean enough to bolt a head on)

Findings

Std cam lift @full lift tappet clearance ratio no clearance
Steel rocker 0.264" 0.302" 0.16" 1.08 1.14
Toyo 0.264" 0.365" 0.16" 1.32 1.38
Mini 1.5 0.264" 0.397" 0.16" 1.44 1.50

Not at the same level as yours but still a 115.72% increase over standard or 0.063" of addtional lift with no allowance for tappet clearance

With the valve curtain area increase its effectively increasing from a 1.44" valve to a 1.66" valve

Our roller rockers were made for us by an engineering shop in Heidelberg. They were sold by us and are used on every race motor I have ever built. Very high quality & very strong. They havent been made in a few years now but another batch is on its way soon. This set would be around 8 years old now and has seen many race meetings on 2 different engines. Image

850man: Without being funny, how are these better than my Yella Terra jobs? :?: ...apart from being $200 cheaper, that is...

Just picked these up today, They are the by far the best & strongest A series 1.5 roller rockers money can buy and are 100% Australian Designed & made, much better than the pommy/chinese crap being sold here lately.

No there not Yella terra rockers, there much better than that! They were made here in melbourne by a very good engineering company. The price is very resonable for what you get, far less than some of the imported rockers. These sets will not be sold to the public, only to a few very select lucky people, with race motors.

& before anyone asks, the steel rod in the ends of the rocker shaft is only there to temporally hold the first 2 sets together, split pins will be used on the rest.

Seems a shame. They are 'the best', 'the strongest' and at a reasonable price yet only the select few can get them. Pity; would be good if mere plebs could buy 'em and maybe the guys that make them would have a neat little sideline????

The guys that make them dont need "a neat little sideline" they make million dollar machines all day. The only reason I posted pics of the rocker gear was to show people what is available to engine builders if you look past the shiny pictures in mini magazines. Most of the roller rockers available of late seem to made (my own persional opinion) out of old coke cans in a factory in China someware and are hugly overpriced.
It would be nice if more were available, unfortunally they are just a sideline and unless someone comes up with 50 grand to have 100 sets made, they will only ever be limited to 10 or 15 sets.
