I have a '25 Chev 4 and I found your comment quite funny because you are not far away from the truth. The HIF SU is probably a little better than the Zenith V4B though !!

I was given a 1926 Chev `truck' as a paddock basher by my dad, back when I was 15 or so.
It didn't have the original updraft carby, so I turned the tubular manifold upside down and fitted a Tillotson downdraft one, off a WW2 jeep.
Jetting was a bit lean, so we wired the choke 1/4 shut.
Power to weight ratio improved a lot when I unbolted all the bodywork and tipped it over the cliff.
Seating then became a pair of old picture theatre seats bolted to the floorboards.
It was all good fun, didn't help my schoolwork though!
