Hi all, I see lots of paint colour option questions on here, and was just wondering what would be more preffered.
Chrome seam cover strips, or cover strips painted the same as the rest of the body.
If you have pictures to show which is better, then please post.

Hi micowen, I think chrome strips are available ex UK, but could be a bit tricky. The standard seam covers are of couse cliped on along the seam itself but they are also brazed top and bottom. If you don't braze them there is a risk they they can come off, the clips are good but not reliable on their own.

Whether to do it or not is very much a personal thing. I think I have a pic somewhere of one with chrome body seam covers. I'll try to dig it up for you.

Spose it depends on the bling factor of the rest of the car too

I like my Bling but would not consider havening Bling Seams. Keep them colour coded with the body always

thanks for the couple of responces here. I guess that considering that the car isnt going to be a "bling machine" then that pretty much dictates the lack of need for chrome strips. Maybe another time on another mini.
Grunt maybe? (in ten years time when I actually start on him again :D )
