I have mastered the art of modifying an A series dizzy to fit in an A+. I have had all the necessary Drive dogs made up and know what needs to be machined. My experimental one was a 29D4. works well on an A+ now and even fitted it with electronic Kit.

Hey, that's cool, but be sure to shorten the dissy shaft a tad, usually 30 thou get the job done.

Cheers

Years ago (Maybe 15-ish years ago, when i was working for Macs Minis) we did many conversions for both directions,,, A-series dizzy into A+ donk ...& A+ dizzy into A-series donk

easy-peasy & there are quite a few different ways to achieve both results

I fitted a Pulsar dizzy to a 1098, then later modified it for a 1275A+. Bushed the 3/16" shaft hole and slid the A+ dog on. Only other mod was to file a casting fin away so the A+ clamp fork would fit.
Too easy.
