I stumbled across some poly-typish (dont know the technical name) material at Reverse Garbage (Adison Rd, Marrickville, Sydney). For those who are not in the loop, this place sells offcuts from various factories in the area.
Forgot to mention. The stuff is light. I lifted it yesterday and the entire interior floor mat weighs about 2 or 3 kgs. I can take a photo of the material if anyone is interested. They always have that stuff in stock.
that would be good. can you find a name or just what type of material it is for me that would be great.

Try a quieter Exhaust system
love the sound it makes too much, just want it to be slightly quieter. this is more for engine and road noise.
Ryan: the car is an 850, so there is interior panel on the door, its just a big flat surface, easy to work on.
Micowen: where did you get the Bostic stuff? and how good is ok?
i'm looking to reduce noise by around 20% i think should be enough. all your comment are greatly appreciated guys thanks for the input
