Well I think a grand is a cheap buy! Its a complete car! I picked my shell up for $800 back in 1997...!

good man Hanra

now we`r talking realistically

Now don`t get me wrong,,, i`d like to see you get it for less,,, but the question was plain & simple,,,, the answer really isn`t that plain & simple tho,,, But that`s because we all have differing ideas of what something is "Worth" because we all like to say how much "We`d" pay for it.

But "we" arn`t buying it,,, If i was attempting to buy it, then i`d like to buy it for $500,,, Knowing that it`s "worth" a $Grand (or more)

:-)

If it`s got a heavy flywheel or a copper headgasket or a rod change gearshift then obviously it`s worth way less :-) :-) :-)

So what you guys are saying is that you wouldn't pay any more than a grand for it

Just thought I would remind people that I am going to have a look at this car to buy it

I think in this day and age, around $1500 would be a fair figure If I was trying to sell it. I assume your buying it as a resto? It looks like a good starting point.

Resto or most probebley get it safe and sell it as I already have five other minis that I am fixing one at a time (this is taking a while) as this one will be a double up I would want to sell it in the future so I would like to get it for as cheap as I can without ripping the current owner off

Given that you can buy a running mini that needs work for $2000, I think that's exorbitant.
Given what you can buy for $4000......not a chance in hell. I think Hanra has too much money  and Matt's old so you can't rely on him .........I think bang on $1000, but I wouldn't pay any more than that becuase it looks like it needs a fair chunk of work done, and there could be even more nasties hiding under the paint work.

$2 gorillas is far far too much if you want to make it roadworthy, respectable and sell it.
In that case you want to get it as cheaply as possible and forget any notions of insulting him with a low offer.

Remember, the day will come when you will want to offload it.

Seems that you, like me, have enough on your plate already. I don't mean any offence, but how many cars can you realistically own & enjoy?

you are right in that I have enough on my plate already and with owing so many cars I car only drive one at a time (when one is on the road) with also triing to renevate the house also but if I could make some money out of it would be good to fund some of the other projects I have got But I think I might have to give it a miss as I don't think that he will come down that low
